Every Henry & Eve scarf begins with an original work of art created by Suzie or Sarah Rowland: a mother/daughter duo who could not be more different, yet more alike.

For Suzie, co-owner and renowned lamp designer for the North Carolina Pottery Rowland Designs, as well as a lifetime artist known for her fearless exploration of materials, a scarf design might begin with a watercolor painting, etching, collage, monoprint, or as yet to be determined medium - (we’ll keep you posted!) Suzie is prolific, messy, uninhibited, and a daily inspiration.

For daughter Sarah, owner of wall-covering design company The Sarah Rowland Collection, and with a storied background in graphic design, a scarf might begin with pencil drawings, color washes, magic marker, even collected gingko leaves. Sarah is prolific, a little OCD, a perfectionist, and a daily inspiration.

After the passing of beloved husband/father Henry Rowland, and daughter/sister Eve days later, Suzie and Sarah created Henry & Eve to both celebrate them, and find a way forward. Their collaboration is prolific, messy, a little OCD, and a daily inspiration. :}
